Meet
the HevnSent Dark Litter
When we decided to
mate both Dee and Sherbet at about the same time we weren't expecting them
to have nine puppies each. We knew we had more homes lined up than we could
satisfy with one litter, but eighteen pups running riot all at once was
something else. When it wasn't totally hectic it was hilarious fun. Fortunately
the rest of the gang got involved big time in babysitting. Maddi and Jemima were
totally obsessed by the wee creepy crawly things and grandma Sage was a big help
to first time mum, DeeDee. We were really
tempted to keep at least one of these little guys but we gritted our teeth and
parted with them. All went to really great homes, better than we could give them
given that we already had more than our fair share of doggie friends. We called
this litter the 'dark' litter. They contrasted nicely with Sherbet's 'light'
litter and, between the two, there was something for every one. Dee turned out
to be a wonderful mum, very kind and attentive. She loved motherhood. |

This
is Blu, one gorgeous puppy we were very tempted to keep. He's now gone to
live with Eloise and her family and has turned this previously non-doggie
house upside down. |

|
This
is Jamie, one very pretty young man. Jamie had a lovely soft
temperament but was a little timid when he first went out into the world. His mum, Suzanne, made sure he was well socialised early in
the piece and he turned into a brilliant dog. |
|

|
This
is Jaffa, the odd one out in the 'dark' litter. Jaffa was the only merle
in a litter of nine and got lots of attention. She went to live with
Cheryl and has made a career for herself in the obedience ring. |

|
This
little guy is Sundai, who lives with Julie in Western Australia. Julie
particularly wanted a smaller Aussie with a softish temperament and Sundai
fitted that description perfectly. |
| |

|
Jackson,
also called 'little red devil' by his young owners Monica and Louise, is a striking looking dog. He's a lovely
dark red with full white trim and a very strong build.
|

|
Jarrah
was one of only three girls in the litter. She was a tiny baby but very
pretty and a gorgeous dark red colour. Jarrah took a liking to young
Jessica right from the start and now lives with Jessica and her parents in
suburban Melbourne. |

 |
This
is Cairo, the show dog of the litter. Very well balanced and put
together just right, Cairo is another puppy we easily could have kept at
HevnSent. She found a great new home with Wendy, however, and we don't
regret losing her for one minute. |

|
Simon
was pretty much the first of the litter to be spoken for, and moved to Western Australia
to live with his mum, Peta. |

|
This is
young Grady, a
terrific little dog with lots of spunk and a very cheerful disposition.
He's fairly energetic but very smart and
sassy and helps his mum, Fiona, run her dairy farm in country Victoria. He's
had one litter of pups of his own and may have more in the future. |
