Heaven's Edge farm is a small family affair, run by Ron Wheeler and Pauleen Bennett. Ron is an ex-carpenter who decided a few years ago to retire to the country to play with tractors and animals. He does most of the work around the place and is home with the animals 24/7. Pauleen is a psychologist who works for Monash University, teaching courses in psychology and animal welfare. She is the leader of Australia's first Anthrozoology Research Group and spends her days studying human-companion animal relationships. She's also an adjunct professor at Ohio State University and spends part of each year in the US teaching a course about Animals in Society. She's always been surrounded by animals and runs the animal breeding and training side of things at Heaven's Edge, even though Ron does most of the work. What a perfect combination!
