Home Up Breeding Goals About Aussies Adult Aussies Past Puppies Current Litters

We stopped breeding aussies a few years ago. What with getting a scientific career established, taking up alpaca breeding and moving farms, there was little time for anything, let alone something as time consuming as puppies. All this changed on March 2nd, 2007 when our first litter arrived on our new farm. We had so much fun with that one that we decided to go again this year. Our most recent litter arrived on March 28th 2008.  Seven pups were born but Jemima had some difficulties with her milk supply and we lost three in the first few days before we took over feeding duties. Hand rearing pups is very hard work but amazingly good fun and very rewarding. The whole gang pitched in with babysitting duties. Now the pups are old enough to find permanent homes. If you are interested please contact us soon as we don't expect them to be available for very long.

FERGUS

JEMIMA

Fergus has sired only one previous litter and they were terrific, colourful, outgoing pups who are all happy in their new homes. He's on the tall side for an aussie but is calmer than most and is a terrific, loyal, companion dog. He's also friends with the whole world, with no sign of the reservedness some aussies have. Jemima is a sweet girl who is also very friendly, but just a fraction on the timid side. She's ball crazy and loves to play games all day long, but is terrific in the house and is quite happy to lie quietly under the computer desk if that's where I am.  So far the pups appear to have good outgoing temperaments. Chip is probably the softest and Gidget is the strongest, but all four should make great companions.  We are sooooo tempted to keep one of these puppies; if only we could decide which one. The photos below were taken at 6 weeks. We should be updating them soon.

This is April on the left and Gidget on the right. Both very sweet but always up to no good.

Meet Chip, on the left, and Charlotte, the only solid color pup in the litter. Poor Chip is outnumbered by all the girls but seems to manage just fine.

Check out Chip and Gidget as they meet sheep for the first time! Both showed real style
